The £350 million Centre for Advanced Knowledge Engineering, which is currently planned for Downham Market, will bring an estimated 4,500 jobs and £1 billion to the region.

Once planning permission has been fully agreed, Aventa’s work proper should begin on the project by the middle of 2016.

The MP for Norfolk South West, Elizabeth Truss, has told the Eastern Daily Press just how vital this development is to the local area.

“We know there is a growing trend for this,” she said, “This is a fantastic town which is very well connected and about to be better connected.”

Aventa Capital Partners Chief Executive Michael Carrick added that the project would provide a critical boost to Downham Market’s economy, pulling investment away from London.
